Lakhamandal Trekking This is a cultural as well as traditional trek in the Jaunsar-Babar area, at the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand State; between the rivers Yamuna and Tons. Lakhamandal is a big village on the banks of river Yamuna, recognized for its temple ruins. The village on the way are worthy of seeing for their cultural as well as architectural prosperity. The Trek is actually rich with plants and creatures and is also a memorable encounter for ornithologists.
Kalsi Lakhamandal Trekking
Duration: 07 Days + 06 Nights Tour Itinerary:
Day 01: Pick Up from Delhi. Delhi to Rishikesh.
Total distance covered is 225 kms and time taken around 6-7 hrs. After some tea/coffee in Delhi, our Tour mangaer will guide you further details. Then after we will drive to Rishikesh. Here we will visit some local sightseeing such as Laxman Jhoola, Bharat Mandir, Neelkanth Mahadev, Triveni Ghat. Overnight stay there.
Day 02: Trip to Lakhamandal
Agter enjoying breakfast, proceed for Lakhamandal which is 15 kms from rishikesh via Mussoorie. Here we will stay in the camp. Enjoy a delicious dinner.
Day 3: Trip to Baijnath
We will proceed for Baijnath in the early morning. It is around 24 kms away from Lakhamandal. Enroute we will enjoy some local sightseeing around Goraghati. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 4: Magti via Baijnath
Magti is some 17-18 kms away from Baijnath. LOocal sightseeing alongwith trekking. Stay in the camp.
Day 5: Magti to Biratkhoi
In the early morning, we will trek some 11 kms to Biratkothi. Here we can see the fort of Maharaja Birat of Mahabharat times. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 6: Trekking to Kalsi
From Biratkothi, we will trek around 22 kms for Kalsi. Dinner and nightstay in the camp.
Day 7: Returning Delhi
In the early morning, we will for Haridwar from Kalsi, travelling around 130 kms. In Haridwar, we enjoy some local sightseeing before leaving for Delhi.
