In 1931, a well known botanist, explorer as well as mountaineer, Frank Smith, wrote a book titled “Valley of Flowers” which describes the beauty and fragrance of this valley. In 1982, it was declared a National Park and now it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Duration: 08 Days + 07 Days Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: New Delhi to Rishikesh
From Delhi Railway Station or IGI Airport, our tour guide will brief some details about this most renowned trekking tour. After reaching Rishikesh, we will check all our trekking gears. Will stay in Rishikesh at night.
Day 2: Rishikesh to Joshimath
On arrival to Joshimath from Rishikesh, will stay in Hotel at night. Will see some local beauty such as Rudraprayag, where Manadakini & Alaknanda rivers met.
Day 3: Joshimath to Ghangaria
We will start our trek from here. Govindghat is the starting point of the Valley of Flowers Trek. There is some 14 km trek towards Ghangaria. We will stay at night in Camp. Have a nice dinner in Camp as well.
Day 4: Ghangria to Valley of Flowers
In the early morning, have a light breakfast, then we will trek towards Valley of Flowers some 4km.
Here we will see the Nature’s beauty- the thousands and thousands of colors of Flowers. This valley of flowers is some 10 kms long separated by narrow streams, waterfall as well. We will return back to Ghangria in evening, night halt in Camp.
Day 5: Ghangria to Hemkundsahib
Next morning we will trek to Hemkundsahib some 6 km away. This is a very steep trekking, so we must have to be very careful. Here we will see the lake and visit Gurudwara. Night halts again in Ghangria.
Day 6: Ghangaria to Joshimath
In the next morning, trek some 14 km for Govindghat. In the evening we will proceed for Joshimath. Night stay in hotel.
Day 7: Joshimath to Haridwar
Next morning after having a breakfast, we leave for Haridwar. Herein we will visit Rishikesh and Devprayag. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 8: Haridwar to Delhi
In Haridwar, we have some local sightseeing such as Har ki Pauri, Cable Car and Chandi Devi. After lunch, we will proceed for Delhi.
